NORFOLK WORKS, launched in December 2016, is designed to champion the recruitment of diverse Norfolk talent to support business retention and expansion, align economic and workforce development efforts to acquire new business development, and, in collaboration with our workforce partners, help Norfolk citizens prepare for and connect to meaningful employment opportunities.
To accomplish its goals, Norfolk Works has three branches:
- Norfolk Works’ Job Resource Center located at 100 Bank St. Norfolk
- Business Services offered through Norfolk’s Department of Economic Development in the areas of: recruiting, training, and hiring incentives.
- The Norfolk Workforce Investment Network (WIN) - a system of local, regional, and state service providers working to bring the full capability of the workforce system to bear to help meet the needs of job seekers and businesses.
