Mayor Kenneth Alexander Announces Partnership with MetroNet

Partnership makes Norfolk a Gigabit City

NORFOLK, VA – Mayor Kenneth Cooper Alexander announced today that MetroNet has been working with City officials to make Norfolk a Gigabit City. MetroNet, provides high-speed Internet, voice and video services to business and residential subscribers over a 100% fiber infrastructure. They currently offer some of the fastest Internet speeds available anywhere in the United States.

MetroNet is the largest privately owned fiber to the premise company in the country and will be working with the City to start their construction process later this year.
