The OpenNorfolk Restaurant Guidelines for Outdoor Dining are now live! You can find the updated version of the Guidelines that appears on the website here. This includes all of the recent changes and the guidance that came out on the evening of Friday, October 13th, 2020, from the Governor.

The OpenNorfolk Outdoor Dining Permit is a joint permit between the City of Norfolk Fire Marshal, the Building Official, and Electrical Inspections. This is a brand-new, expedited process to allow restaurants to operate safely outside on private property through December 31, 2022. Please note, if you plan to operate outdoor dining in the public right-of-way, there is a separate permitting process through the OpenNorfolk Streateries Program.

Please visit the OpenNorfolk website to read the full press release and locate other useful material and information provided by out City and the Governor.
