Know Your Zone New zones created by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management allow emergency managers to communicate with citizens who are most at risk as a storm approaches.

City of Norfolk Department of Emergency Preparedness and Response The city's Department of Emergency Preparedness and Response is responsible for all disaster preparedness program areas within the City of Norfolk. Their website provides resources for emergency planning.

Ready Hampton Roads This website, provided by the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, provides local twitter alerts in the event of a storm or natural disaster.

Ready.gov Developed by FEMA, this site provides detailed infomation about disaster planning for businesses.  It outlines five steps that businesses should take to develop disaster preparedness programs.
