NORFOLK – Since 1924 Stark and Legum has been a fixture in the Norfolk fashion scene. They’ve recently moved, just a couple of doors down, to a new location – 723 Granby Street. They continue to pride themselves on excellent customer service and as purveyors of some of the finest men’s hats to be found.
Closing in on a century in business, Stark and Legum has been the go-to shop for fashion conscious men for several generations. Owners Michael Benton, and his brother Dr. Harrison Benton, are looking forward to serving the next generation of men looking for excellent service and fine apparel. Michael worked side by side with Sonny Legum, the son and nephew of the founders, for fifteen years.
When Sonny retired, after 65 years at the helm, Michael saw the need for a “real” haberdashery that offers high-end clothing not found in most men’s stores. So, he joined with his brother to buy the business, and continue the legacy. “Drawing on more than 90 years of experience, we have, and always will, take pride in providing quality apparel and expert personal service.” said Michael J. Benton.
With plans to build on the store’s already exquisite selection and taste, Michael Benton, and his brother Dr. Harrison Benton are looking forward to serving the next generation of men looking for excellent service and fine apparel.
