2022 Economic Development Week

The City of Norfolk is a regional leader in Economic Development with over $1 Billion in capital investment in the pipeline. In 2021, Norfolk led the Hampton Roads region in projects announced, jobs created, and total capital investment further validating Norfolk as a great place to live, work and do business.

Norfolk has long been recognized as a key Mid-Atlantic seaport and a vibrant cosmopolitan center. Over the years, it has also earned a reputation for being a great place to live, work, and play. It’s residents and businesses have enabled it to endure and prosper, reinventing itself many times over the past 350 years, and making it excel in inclusive Economic Development.
